The late Spring and Summer months are the most popular, mainly because there's a better chance that the weather will be good, travelling is easier (for guests coming from a long distance) and the photographs will look better. However, because the summer months are more popular they may also be more expensive - some providers of wedding services charge more in summer months.

Winter weddings are becoming more popular, especially around Christmas, New Year and Valentine's Day - but you may find that some services, such as transport, may not be available in winter. Many owners of vintage and veteran vehicles will not subject them to the ravages of British roads in winter, even for short journeys.
