Pansy (Viola/Violet)
A five petalled flower, either plain or with a patterned 'face'. Can be unscented or slightly scented. Colours include yellow, lilac, purple, pink, blue, red, orange, black, brown and white. Since they are edible, they're ideal decorations for the wedding cake.
Parrot Tulip
Slightly larger and more costly than conventional tulips, these are distinguished by their ruffled, feather-like petals. Available in an array of solid colours, usually in hues of red, yellow and orange, as well as two-colour varieties.
Passion Flower (Passiflora)
Each flower has a wide tubular base and five to ten petals. It is an exotic flower, with saucer or bowl-shape, and predominantly purple.
Peach Blossom
Solitary, bowl-shaped pale pink flowers. Also produces fruit that can be used in arrangements.
Peony
Large ruffled, round bloom with soft, feathery petals. The colours range from white to a variety of pinks to deep red.
Periwinkle
An evergreen shrub with small five-petal blooms. Similar in look to stephanotis without the high price tag.
Peruvian Lily (Alstroemeria)
Funnel-shaped flowers with six petals. Orange, pink, cream, red and yellow. Dwarf varieties also available.
Phalaneopsis Orchid
The blossoms are available in several hues of pink and yellow, though white is most often seen. The petals are broad and flat, making these ideal for boutonnieres.
Phlox
A small, thin-petaled flower that blooms in large clusters. They are available in mixed colours.
Pincushion/Scabious (Scabiosa)
Either compound or singular flower heads, with a raised centre. Blue, white, yellow and pink.
Pittosporum
A green shrub bearing fragrant tiny white flowers that are often used in bouquets as accent and filler. Glossy, leathery leaves.
Poinsettia (Euphorbia Pulcherrima)
An upright shrub with large, mid to deep green leaves. 'Pulcherrima Menorca' bears large, bright red flowers.
Polyanthus
Large, mostly yellow-centred flowers in clusters of three to 15 flower heads. Many colours, including red, blue, orange, yellow, white and pink.
Poppy
Short-lived flowers with either bowl, cup or saucer-shape. Various sized blooms featuring bright, papery petals. The single or double blooms appear individually upon very thin stalks. Poppies are available in mixed colours, but are most commonly found in red.
Primrose
Tubular, bell or funnel-shaped flowers, either clustered, on a single stem or in a ring around the stem. They are often fragrant and are yellow.
