Blessing Services

If you are marrying for a second time after a divorce, and have been refused permission for an Anglican Church ceremony, you may decide (just like Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall) to follow your civil ceremony wedding with a Blessing Service instead.

You will be able to decide upon the content and style of the service with your minister, and there may be a good deal of opportunity for writing your own ceremony.

As a general rule, the two of you will walk down the aisle together at the beginning of the service, whilst the congregation are singing the first hymn. You will then make your promises in front of the congregation as you already did at the previous civil ceremony.
